The workshop on Application Development was held on 15th of September, from 11am to 5pm – a 6hour long session with one hour of break. Students from various departments, especially 1st year, had joined this workshop. The coding part was mainly based on Java since Android OS is founded on LINUX. Although many were not fluent in Java, Mr. Nitish Singh had ensured that no one felt out of the place. He had a very simple approach to the topic, and almost every student was able to grasp the basics.

The workshop on Python was held 2 weeks later- 29th of September and had a similar schedule. Once again, Mr Singh turned it into a great success. This time too, a great bunch of freshers had attended this workshop. It could be assumed that no one had a prerequisite knowledge of Python. Hence, Singh covered the basics of Python throughout the workshop. In the end, he guaranteed that if one had followed him throughout the workshop, one would be able to learn the advanced codes by oneself.

The response from the 1st year students of KGEC was overwhelming. Besides, fees were less compared to the direct workshops of myWBUT and hence attracted students across all departments.
